On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Nepal Foresters’ Association, authors of books on forestry Dr Swoyambhu Man Amatya and Mr Kanhaiya Raj Shrestha (Nepal Forestry Handbook), Mr Dhruba Raj Bhattarai (Jadibuti Manjari) and Mr Karna Shakya (Soch) along with various women holding Bachelors degree in Forestry were felicitated.

Speaking at the programme, Hon'ble Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Salim Miyan Ansari expressed the view that foresters should make the maximum use of their knowledge and skill for the scientific management of natural resources and its appropriate application.

President of the Association Indra Singh Karki and life member Birendra Bahadur Singh also spoke on the occasion.
