Community forestry offers opportunity for participatory biodiversity monitoring

In an article on Regional Community Forestry Training Center for Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC) website Ben Vickers describes how community forestry in Nepal offers "an opportunity to create a network of self-motivated monitors committed to generating and sharing information for their own mutual benefit and that of their forest resources".

The article documents the experience from a pilot Participatory Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation of Biodiversity (PAMEB) programme implemented in various districts of Nepal.
