| Abstract | Notes are given on the objectives and expected outputs of the workshop, and on the inaugural, and overview and background sessions. Representatives of forestry agencies in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand gave reports on their forest management activities in dry forests. These representatives plus others from other national and international organizations agreed on a set of 8 national-level criteria and 49 indicators for the sustainable management of dry forest. Annexes include the list of participants, workshop programme, a list of technical and discussion papers and country reports, and the criteria and indicators. |
