Effect of some pre-sowing treatments on the seed germination of Sapindus mukorossi Gaertn

This study was conducted in May 2001 at the Basantapur nursery in Kailali district, Nepal, to recommend the suitable pre-treatment for the germination of Sapindus mukorossi seeds. Results indicate that the pre-sowing treatments, such as seed immersion in boiling water for 3 minutes and soaking in cold water for 72 and 48 h, could be used to improve the germination of S. murokossi seeds.
