Poor Decision of Forest Minister
Against the recommendation made by the 17 members Task Force created by MFSC, the Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Mr. Kiran Gurung has decided to allow handing over the CF to the limited users in Terai and inner Madesh (Kantipur Daily, 6 October). The decision making style is similar of Ex. King Gyanendra.

Resource and Environment Conservation Society (RES-Nepal) successfully completed The Philippine Style Bamboo Furniture Manufacturing Training in collaboration with International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) in the premises of Himalayan Bamboo Pvt. Ltd, Hetauda, Nepal. NSCFP/SDC, GTZ/PSP, LFP, BDS Maps, MEDEP and Himalayan Bamboo were the partner organization of the training.

Resource and Environment conservation Society (RES-Nepal) in support of Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program (TRPAP) conducted a feasibility study on " Red Panda habitat eco-trail" in Cholangpati Thulosyabru area of Langtang National Park. The National Park represents the good spectrum of vegetation type along the altitude range between 1000 m and 7245 m.
