A Value Chain Framework is a required tool that can assist in understanding systemic competitiveness. The value chain approach addresses the many challenges involved in promoting small firms’ and farmers’ competitiveness in current globalized markets. It focuses on organizing small firms to increase their market-orientation and link them to government and private sector investors.  

This training covers the following major topics:

  • Understanding the conceptual foundations of the value chain approach
  • Selecting appropriate value chains to work in
  • Analyzing the structure and dynamics of value chains
  • Developing strategies to overcome constraints and increase value chain competitiveness
  • Enticing private-sector stakeholders to collaborate in order to improve industry performance 

Cost: US $ 500 for international participants and NRs. 25,000 for Nepalese participants (includes workshop fees, materials and one meal per day)

Number of participants limited to 30 people.
