Introducing Community Forestry: Innovative Ideas, Practices and Methodologies
Forest Action is pleased to announce the international training course, "Introducing Community Forestry: Innovative Ideas, Practices and Methodologies", which will be held from 9 to 20 October 2006 to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The training course is jointly organized by ForestAction, Nepal and RECOFTC, Thailand.
The course in October will build upon the very successful training held in March 2006 that identified and analyzed key community forestry concepts, practices and methodologies. The course in October 2006 will again utilize the extensive experience of community forestry in Nepal as a building block to explore the issues and supplement this with further case studies and experiences from throughout the region. The experiences from the training will be both exciting and enriching.
The October 2006 training course is designed for development workers and mid-level managers involved in forestry, agriculture, and NRM both from the government and the NGO sector. The course brochure, an application form and some brief information on potential donor requirements can be sent upon request. The training brochure and the application form can also be downloaded from the websites www.forestaction.org or www.recoftc.org.
