Regional Workshop on Strengthening Community Forestry's Networks and Federation in Asia

GACF is going to organize a Regional workshop in coordination with FECOFUN and RECOFTC Thai Program. The goal of this workshop is to conduct a formal gathering of federations/networks from different parts of Asian region and develop a strategic plan on strengthening networks and federations working for empowering Community based organizations. The workshop will be of total five days including three days of dialogue and two days of field visit.

Kathmandu Tiger Workshop 2009

The Government of Nepal is hosting the Kathmandu Global Tiger Workshop 2009 starting from 27 October for four days. The workshop will be attended by over 200 participants comprising policy and decision-makers, scientists, conservationists from all the tiger range countries, partner organizations and individuals who have dedicated themselves to the conservation of the wild tiger. The key partners of the workshop include CITES Secretariat, Global Tiger Forum, Global Tiger Initiative, World Bank, Save the Tiger Fund, National Trust for Nature Conservation and WWF Nepal.

A four day regional workshop starting 31st August to 3rd September 2009 shall be organized to present the methodology, tools and applications for ecosystem management developed in the framework of the HKKH Partnership Project. The project is implemented by IUCN in partnership with CESVI, Ev-K2CNR and ICIMOD.
