The Senior Programme Officer will be responsible to provide technical support to IUCN’s ongoing programmes and develop new initiatives. His/her overall responsibility will be to lead IUCN’s work in Nepal on economic valuation, payment for environmental services, trade and environment, and business and biodiversity.

Priority will be given to the successful candidate who possesses a Masters in Environmental or Resource Economics. Candidates with Masters in agricultural economics or Masters in economics with research experience and interest to work in the field of natural resource management are also eligible to apply. Candidates must possess at least six years of proven and relevant work experience in programme implementation and development. The incumbent should have excellent communication, writing and presentation skills with an understanding of technical and institutional complexities in the Asia Region (particularly Nepal) and proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
