WWF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2008 – for Bachelor Level Studies
WWF announces memorial scholarships to honor the late conservation
leaders who died in the tragic helicopter crash in Ghunsa area of
Taplejung district on 23 September 2006. The memorial scholarships will
provide financial assistance to Nepali students who intend to pursue
careers in nature conservation. Through these funds, WWF intends to
build a new generation of conservation leaders to take on the many
challenges facing Nepal in conserving its rich natural heritage.

JILL BOWLING SCHLAEPFER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
for BSc Forestry studies, Institute of Forestry, Pokhara
In honor of Jillian Bowling Schlaepfer and her life-long commitment to
conservation, WWF has established a memorial scholarship fund that will
provide financial assistance to a deserving student who will pursue a
Bachelor of Forestry studies at IOF, Pokhara.  Nepali citizens from
ethnic/indigenous minority and/or Dalit groups who will sit for the BSc
entrance exams at IOF, Pokhara are eligible to apply.

JENNIFER HEADLEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP  
for BSc Forestry studies, Institute of Forestry, Hetauda
In honor of Jennifer Headley and her life-long commitment to
conservation, WWF has established a memorial scholarship fund that will
provide financial assistance to a deserving woman candidate who will
pursue a Bachelor of Forestry studies at IOF, Hetauda.  Nepali female
citizens who will sit for the BSc entrance exams at IOF, Hetauda are
eligible to apply.
