Chemonics International Inc, a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks candidates for an anticipated biodiversity and natural resources management project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Nepal. This project is anticipated to address the following issues: forestry and natural resources, climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, environment and natural resources governance, REDD, non-timber forest products, sustainable agriculture, and parks and protected area planning and management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in one of the technical sectors described above
  • Direct programmatic experience in forestry and natural resources management
  • Experience working in Nepal
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects
  • Ability to work and travel in remote areas of the country to oversee program implementation and provide technical expertise
  • English language skills required
