IUFRO recently organized an international conference on Gender and Forestry from November 16-19, 2008 in Forest Research Institute,  Dehradun, India. The conference explored experiences with gender sensitivity and gender analysis issues in forest management, organisations in the forestry sector as well as challenges to sustainable livelihoods of forest dwellers and users all over the world.

The presentations from the 5th National Community Forestry Workshop are now available online. The workshop was held from November 9-11, 2008 in Kathmandu. 

Full papers of the annual Conference on Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural and Natural Resource Management (TROPENTAG) held in October 7 - 9, 2008 in Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany are now available online. The Tropentag is a development-oriented and interdisciplinary conference.

The international conference on Rights, Forests and Climate Change was recently held in Oslo, Norway from October 15-17, 2008. The conference was jointly hosted by the Rainforest Foundation Norway and the Rights and Resources Initiative with support from the CGIAR Systemwide Program on Collective Action and Property Rights (CAPRi).
