Socio-economic Impacts of Public Land Agroforestry on Livelihoods of Pro-Poor in Central Terai
Public Land Agroforestry Programme has been in place for last few years by the the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation. The MoFSC has been implementing BISEP-ST programme in 8 terai districts of central Nepal. Dhanusha is also one of them. The programme has been financially supported by the government of Nepal through SNV-Nepal.

Collaboration for Impact: The Lemon Grass Value Chain Development in Central Terai of Nepal
An article about SNV’s experience in value chain development of lemon grass has been published in SNV Regional Network Newsletter. The article briefly shares the success storey of managing a cooperative based essential oil processing plant. It is a good example of application of Value Chain approach in grass root level for the benefit of poor and disadvantaged group.
Promotion and Trade of Tropical NTFPs in Central Terai of Nepal
The paper mainly covers the availability and market of Non Timber Forest Products (NTFP) in Central Terai of Nepal. A study on Forest Product Market Survey was completed by Biodiversity Sector Program for Siwalik and Terai (BISEP-ST) in cetral Terai of Nepal. The study mainly focused on Non timber forest products. The findings of the study is the base of this paper.
