The cost of carbon abatement through community forest management in Nepal Himalaya
Scores for effective forest conservation: a village-to-village approach
Diversity of vascular plant communities along a disturbance gradient in a central mid-hill community forest of Nepal
Effects of management and disturbance gradients on a bird fauna in Chitwan National Park and its Buffer Zone
Chitwan National Park pioneered a participatory model of conservation as a buffer zone management programme in Nepal. Buffer Zone Community Forests have been handed over to the community for sustainable use of resources, and provide benefits to both wildlife and people. However, there is inadequate evaluation about the impact of buffer zone programs on conservation of wildlife.

Benefit Sharing in Community Forests in Nepal: A case study in Makawanpur District of Nepal
The aim of this research is to gain insight and explore the relationship of forest benefits and their distribution mechanism among users by evaluating existing institutional arrangements in the community forests (CFs). This empirical research endeavours to discover the real world in the community forestry (CF) in communities. The CF programme has started in Nepal since 1978. Although it has rejuvenated degraded forests in mid-hill into green resource, still many issues on CF are needed to be addressed.
