About me
I am interested with researches on economically sustainable forestry and conservation models. In my research studies, I prefer integrative use of statistical methods with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. I am currently studying potential of economic optimization of forest management in Nepal.
Earlier, I worked for more than a decade with National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) - a leading conservation organization of Nepal. In early career days, I was primarily involved in the application of GIS and remote sensing for protected area management, forest management, biodiversity assessment and glacier studies. Later, as a senior officer, I was mostly involved in programme planning, monitoring, supervising/co-ordinating project implementation. Additionally, I am also involved with university teaching and supervising on part-time basis.
