About me

I am a forester by education and career. I worked as a community forestry facilitator in Nepal when the concept was pioneer. After receiving BSc and MSc degrees in forestry, I worked for about five years in national and international organizations in Nepal and China. During my work in Nepal, I focused on monitoring and evaluation of community forestry projects. During my work in China, I, as a community development specialist, focused my efforts on devising and testing participatory methods in an integrated conservation and development project named as Qomolangma Conservation Project in Tibet, China. My Ph D project is on evaluating climate change impacts on growth and productivity of boreal forests in Canada. My research interests include modeling forest growth and harvtests and risks and uncertainty associated with such models.
