About me

I have one Masters degree in Natural Resource Management (Fulbright scholarship grantee, 2001-2003) and another in Botany with specialization on ecological economics. I have more than 5 years experience in managing community based biodiversity conservation program in Nepal. My past professional engagements include developing and administering biodiversity conservation program that especially focused on addressing conflict between park and people and socio-political empowerment of indigenous people of mid hill and high mountain of Nepal. My ethnic background itself has been an advantage for my active engagement in right based issues of indigenous people, especially in case of natural resources. My interest and expert lies in gender mainstreaming, systems ecology and modeling.
