Snow leopard (Uncia uncia) population in Nepal is estimated to be in the range of 350-500, which constitutes one-tenth of the world's snow leopard population. The western part of Nepal has the largest concentrations of Snow Leopard in the World. Recently it has also been recorded in the Mt. Everest region.
