| Abstract | This paper discusses the integration of geographical information systems (GIS) in community forestry in Nepal, and assesses the applicability of a PPGIS. A systematic approach was examined and applied for participatory forest management, combining the collection of quantitative, objective information with qualitative, subjective information in a way that was beneficial for the Forest User Groups. |
