Gender, class, caste and participation: the case of community forestry in Nepal

This paper discusses gender, class and caste relationships that determine the decision-making power, and access to and control over the resources in two Jalpa Forest User Groups. Obstacles to the participation of women and the poor, and equity aspects in benefit sharing and decision making are also discussed.
