Course Material and Schedule
Day 1:
• Installation of ArcGIS 9.3
• Introduction to GIS, and database acquisition
Day 2:
• Projects, Views, Table of Contents and Layers
• Geo-referencing the image.
• Digitization of point, line and polygon.
Day 3:
• Table of contents, symbols, color schemes, classification, normalize, color ramps and attributes.
Day 4:
• Join data tables using common fields. The purpose of joining tables is to add more data to your project.
• Convert selected features into a new shape file.
• How to find features that are inside other features.
Day 5:
• Perform a spatial analysis operation by selecting features.
• Geo-processing wizard.
Day 6:
• Projection system and changing the projection system from one system to other
Day 7:
• 3D analysis, spatial analysis with raster data.
Day 8:
• Profile, adding X,Y coordinate
Day 9:
• Hydrological modeling
Day 10:
• Integration with Google-earth
