| Abstract | This paper presents some issues in rehabilitation of degraded lands in Nepal through the use of a community forestry approach. The paper is based on experiences in project implementation in a mid-hills district of Nepal. It examines some strengths and weaknesses of the current practices in community forestry in Nepal in relation to rehabilitation of degraded lands, and shows that it provides a very good legal framework for undertaking such activities. |
