| Abstract | Medicinal plants, including Cyamopsis tetragonolobus [ C. tetragonoloba ], Ficus bengalensis [ F. benghalensis ], Gymnema sylvestre , Leucaena leucocephala , Lythrum salicaria , Momordica charantia , Saccharum officinarum , Trigonella foenum- graecum and Anagallis arvensis , used to lower serum cholesterol, glucose and triglyceride [triacylglycerols] levels and for their antiathersclerotic actions in Nepal are briefly described. |
