| Abstract | Leaves of C. tamala and C. impressinervium were studied to clarify the botanical origin of the Nepalese natural drug Tejpat. These species can be differentiated by the presence or absence of papillae on the abaxial surface of the lamina, differences of outline of the midribs, and number of phloem rays in the transverse sections of midribs. Tejpat obtained from Kathmandu was identified as the mixed leaves of the two species in almost equal ratio. |
