| Abstract | The paper reviews three common approaches for assessing non-wood forest products (NWFP) enterprises: business planning, enterprise development and market analysis and development. The paper examines these approaches, to discuss their relevance for assessing NWFP enterprises and recommends a framework of methods for future action. The review is based on the authors' collective experience with NWFP-based enterprise development in Nepal, Vietnam and Indonesia. |
