| Abstract | P. jacquemontii var. glauca , collected in the Chepa Khola valley in the Gurkha Himalaya in 1983, is described. It produces attractive bronze-purple leaves, later maturing to blue-green on the upper surfaces which contrasts well with the very glaucous undersides. The deep red veins and flattened petioles add contrast to the foliage. This species breaks dormancy extremely late in the season in the UK (late June/early July) and may still be in leaf in December. Propagation by cuttings has been reasonably successful. |
