AbstractThe emergence and evolution of community forestry in the three physiographic regions of Nepal (the Terai, Mid Hills and High Mountains) are described. Community forestry-related issues affecting landscapes and livelihood are presented and analysed. Finally, concrete recommendations for supporting and strengthening community forestry in Nepal are also presented.
