Community-based forest enterprises their status and potential in tropical countries

This report was commissioned by the International Tropical Timber Organization to help illuminate barriers to the growth of community-based forest enterprises (CFEs) and to identify potential solutions; it involved a wide range-ranging study undertaken by a team from Forest Trends and Rights and Resources Initiative and included an in-depth examination of 20 CFEs in 14 countries (Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Honduras, Bolivia, Brazil, Cameroon, Gambia, Tanzania, Nepal, Philippines, India, China and Papua New Guinea).
