Abstract

Data are presented from a 40×40 m sample plot at 2840 m altitude on a SW-facing slope. Species associated with the dominant Quercus semecarpifolia included Rhododendron arboreum, Viburnum cylindricum, Neolitsia cuipala [Neolitsea cuipala], Acer oblongum and Abies spectabilis; data are tabulated on the density and basal area of these species in the 3 layers of the forest. Values for average diameter, height and density of the trees in each layer are also given, together with data on diameter distribution.
