Teaching: Eighteen years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Economics, Soil Science, GIS and Remote Sensing, Silviculture, Watershed Management, Design of Soil Conservation works, Watershed Planning & Analysis, Recreational and Park Management, Forest Accounts and Procedure and Land Use Planning, at Graduate/Post Graduate Level at Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar.
Research: Served Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar as a professional research scientist in various capacities for 36 years.
Administration/Management
- Worked as Branch Head at Pakistan Forest Institute, dealing with Forest Tree Seed Collection, Storage and handling, Raising nurseries of indigenous as well as exotic forest trees and than lay out experimental trails for tree growth in all the four provinces of Pakistan including NA's and AJK.
- Worked as Project Director for the Establishment of two Environment/Model Forestry Parks in District Attock, supervision, direction and control of about 150 personnel's in project functions.
- Conducted farmers training in Forest Tree Seed Collection, Storage and Handling, Silviculture, Soil and Water Conservation Techniques and Afforestation in Watershed areas of Pakistan.
- Working as Consultant on various fields of forestry with IUCN, WWF, Agha Khan Rural Development Programme, FAO, UNDP, ICIMOD and National and International NGO's.
- Knowledge of UN system worked as Assistant National Coordinator with FAO/UNDP project Pak. 78/036 at Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar from 1983 to 1990.
