CAC referred community based Small infrastructure project (SIP) was initiated in year 2071-72 as continuation of Strengthening Public Management Project (SPMP) in year 2070-71, aiming poverty reduction of DAG through CAC of VDC and municipality wards. A total of 632 CACs (VDC 428 and Municipal 204) have received the SIP grant out of 866 CAC formed in VDC and Municipality. Still, 235 CAC remained to receive. There are 59 % women and 41% men participation likewise 53.39% dalit, 23.76 janjati and 22.85others caste participation of 44, 846 members of 16,627 HHs. LGCDP contribution was 94 % and CAC contribution was of 6% (LGCDP grant Rs 1657 lakhs). Among 529 projects implemented, 27.22% agriculture and irrigation type, followed by 9.83% goat, 8.5% tent & catering business, 7.94% collection centre, 7% each pig & fish, 6% poultry, 5.29% cattle and 5.8% mixed type.

Small infrastructure projects have supported to CAC member to bring changes of capacity to cope with the vulnerability and social discrimination in society. It has improved the access of DAG with the local bodies. Community contribution is also increasing from this project implementation. Mainly livestock project demand is more as people is more associated with their livelihood items like cow dung and easier to carry out the business. In spite of rigorous effort in implementation since new approach for the SM, its effectiveness need to see in due period. As there is no insurance provision in program, difficult to ensure the sustainability of project.
