Nepal is party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation (MoFSC) is serving as the focal point to this convention. Government of Nepal had developed and implemented the Nepal Biodiversity Strategy (2002) and Implementation Plan (2006-2010) for the conservation and sustainable management of biological diversity in the country.

Recently, MoFSC has initiated revision of the strategy and action plan. In this connection, several national, regional, district and community level consultations workshops were conducted. To capture the diverse perspectives of those stakeholder who could not participate in those workshops, a survey form has been developed.
