Analytical Review of the Definitions of Non Timber Forest Product

Many different terms have been developed for Non Timber Forest Product (NTFP). Despite such discussion there has, as yet, been no agreement on terminology to describe NTFPs. Even the terms "forest" and "product" can be debated. It is readily apparent that the definition used depends on the interests and the objectives of the user. Each brings different assumptions and interests, both implicit and explicit.

In this paper, that I prepared as a term paper for my M. Sc. Forestry in NTFP, I have described different definitions of NTFP and tried to clear why specific expressions have been used by different authors/organizations and not others.
