| Abstract | This paper deals with the principal feed resources for livestock in different domains of the western hills of Nepal. Results of a survey showed that livestock were mainly fed with crop residues, grasses, fodder and grain, depending upon their availability. Fodder species such as Artocarpus lakucha, Bambusa balcooa, Bridelia retusa, Premna barbata, Terminalia chebula, Litsea monopetala, Ficus lacor, Ficus semicordata, Persea odoratissima, Morus alba and Ficus glaberrima were potential resources for supporting livestock during the lean period. |
