| Abstract | Approaches to the description of current fodder management practices in Nepal, in terms of fodder availability and periods of shortage, including using farmer recall, participative and actual fodder collection measurement are discussed. The advantage and drawbacks to a range of approaches for the assessment of animal nutritional needs are also discussed. The experience from support to farmers' practical efforts to address deficits is considered in terms of key options and constraints to increasing feed supplies. |
