Local Initiatives For Biodiversity, Research And Development (LI-BIRD) is a Pokhara-based non-profit making NGO working for research and development in the field of agriculture, biodiversity and natural resource management. It is committed to capitalise on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and improved livelihood of people in Nepal through participatory research and development programmes. Applications are invited from qualified Nepali citizens, for the following positions.
Programme Officer, EMIS project (Level 7) – 1, Pokhara based with frequent travel to projects sites.
The incumbent is responsible for providing overall leadership, planning and implementation of EMIS (Environmental Movement in the South) Project. S/he reports to Programme Coordinator-EHS Programme
Qualification and Competence
- MSc in Agro-ecology, Environment Science or relevant discipline with working experience of 3 or more years;·
- Significant experience in planning, implementation and monitoring of projects in relevant area;·
- Proven command in written and spoken English with experience in proposal writing and fund seeking;·
- Excellent data analysis and report writing skill; ·
- Good interpersonal skill and experience in working with multi-disciplinary team.
