ANSAB (Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources) is an international non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Kathmandu. Established in 1992, ANSAB is committed to biodiversity conservation and economic development through community-based enterprise oriented solutions. ANSAB conducts its activities in the areas of natural resource management, economic development, policy, research and networking, and capacity building and services. Currently, we are looking for candidates to work under Natural Resource Management program. Potential candidates meeting the given criteria for the following positions may apply as soon as possible, at the given address below.

1. Forestry Officer – Few

Required Competence

• Master’s degree in the Forestry with minimum 2 years of experience or B. Sc. in Forestry with 5 years of experiences in forest resource inventory
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the forestry, climate change and REDD issues
• Knowledge of the forest inventory and boundary demarcation
• Practical knowledge on GPS/GIS application in forest resource assessment
• Skillful in facilitating stakeholders’ workshops, meetings and trainings

2. Forestry Technician- Few

Required Competence

• Intermediate degree in Forestry with experience on forest inventory, boundary survey and data analysis
• Adequate knowledge of the GPS application in forestry
• Experience in working/mobilizing local resource persons for forest resource assessment
• Ability to assist/conduct stakeholder workshops and meetings
• Capable of preparing project reports and updates of the field activities
• Willingness to make frequent field visits and travel as and when required

3. Data Analyst – One

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in either Forestry or Statistics or Social Science or Computer Science with 2 years of experiences or Bachelor’s degree with more than 5 years of experience in the related field
• Experience on social and technical data handling and data analysis
• Excellent computer skill with proficiency in MS Access, Excel, SPSS, GIS application and other data analysis software
• Good analytical and report writing skill
