Project Manager: The PM will be responsible to coordinate and ensure implementation of overall project activities and ensure achievement of project outputs. S/he will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the project. The PM will ensure project level coordination, collaboration and learning and will also serve as the point person for the donor. S/he will be fully responsible for all communications, coordination and reporting to the donor. S/he will establish and strengthen relationship with government, NGOs and community for the project implementation. S/he will be responsible for human resource management, financial management as well as maintaining partnership relations and will report to Area Program Manager of the cluster. The project is for six years started from July 2007 and its working districts are Sarlahi, Mahottari, and Dhanusa.
Required Competencies:
- Experience on advocacy, good governance and civil society strengthening.
- Excellent in planning, monitoring and evaluation of methods and processes.
- Good experience on partnership management and staff supervision.
- Experience in coordinating and networking with local NGO, government and private sector.
- Excellent report writing, facilitating and communication skills.
- GED sensitive and aware about current political & social context of development.
- Excellent in both oral and written English.
- Ability to use computer to run office application software packages.
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Masters degree in any Social Science, Natural Resource Management or other relevant subject
- Five years experience in project management
- Knowledge of Maithili language will be an added advantage.
