This course is supported by UKaid and is open to participants who have a key role in Nepalese forest governance. The course will be based in UK at the Centre for International Development and Training (CIDT) of University of Wolverhampton.

It aims to improve the performance of frontline players and support them to identify practical steps to improve forest governance in Nepal. The course will run for from the 22nd January to the 18th March 2012 with 4 weeks in the UK and 2 weeks in Nepal (6 working weeks in total) with a 2-week gap in between at the end of February.

A cross-section of sixteen Nepali participants are invited to apply for the scholarship places. The scholarships will be fully funded and cover the cost of course fees, documentation, use of internet, travel, accommodation, and subsistence during the 6 contact week.

From the applications received CIDT will select the best candidates from the fi ve stakeholder groups of Government, Civil Society, Academia, Private Sector and the Media. This will be completed in December 2011.
