Environment, Culture, Agriculture, Research and Development Society Nepal (ECARDS-Nepal) is a NGO based in Kathamandu, ECARDS Nepal with Joint venture of Federation of Community Forest Users Nepal (FECOFUN) Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap and Khotang district chapter is implementing part of Multi Stakeholder Forestry Programme (MSFP) in central east cluster-Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga and Khotang districts. For this programme, ECARDS Nepal is seeking applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the following position, Duration of the contract will be upto February, 2015 based on periodic review of performance.

DISTIRCT COORDINATOR (DC)-One (Based in Manthali, Ramechhap)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall coordination with district level stakeholders (GoN, NGOs,/CBOs, Bilateral projects/INGOs, private sectors and beneficiaries) for the smooth implementation of the MSFP programme and developing synergy for the better output, DC will work under the direct supervision of Area Programme Manager and will be responsible for overall planning, implementation reporting and administration/financial management of the district level programme unit.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / KEY COMPETENCIES:

- Master Degree in any relavant field with Bachelor Degree in Forestry/Natural Resourcement/Environment Management

- Proven experience of people, project and partnership management

- More than five years of working experience in participatory resource management, climate change, and enterprise development/private sector promotion or related field with at least two years of management experience

- Interested and willingness to work with women/poor/disadvantaged/climate vulnerable households of remote areas

- High level of adaptability to work in multicultural environment with multiple stakeholders/partners

- Proficient is use of computer software (especially Microsoft Office Package) with good skills of report writing and presentation
