| Abstract | Shoot apices of Shorea roxburghii were cultured in a liquid MS medium containing zeatin with horizontal rotation culture. After 3 months of culture, multiple shoots were formed. To elongate shoots from multiple shoots, the multiple shoots were cultured in the liquid medium containing zeatin with rotary culture. Shoots were excised from multiple shoots and planted in the Florialite supplemented with 1/2 MS liquid medium. The shoots rooted well after one month of culture. Rooting rate was 98%. Plantlets were transplanted into pots in a green house for the acclimatization. The survival rate of plantlets was 98%. |
