| Abstract | The herbal drugs used by the Raute tribe of far-western Nepal are discussed, based on the results of ethnobotanical studies involving local healers, carried out in 2 villages during 1994. A total of 47 species of plants including 1 species of pteridophyte, 4 monocotyledons and 42 dicotyledons, and 17 types of diseases treated, were identified. Medicinal uses of 15 species (31%) have not been recorded from other parts of the country. |
