In September 2011 social research study was conducted in Lingshi geog under Thimphu Dzongkhag in which 32 households were interviewed in regard to the harvest and collection methods of some important medicinal plants.The data collected were analyzed by using SPSS version 16. The data were run through descriptive statistics, and linear regression. The regression coefficient for a resource trend of 4 medicinal plants (as independent variables) assumed and harvesting methods, R² = .775, was highly significant at P<.05. That showed a significant and direct relationship between the harvesting methods and the trend of resource depletion of the medicinal plants. Farmers in Lingshi practiced rudimentary methods to harvest medicinal plants. According to data obtained, demand for the four species had decreased by about 6% annually as supply decreased by 0.55%.
