| Abstract | The early results of trials carried out by the Rural Development Centre (RDC) of the United Mission to Nepal. Fodder trees were planted on a small patch of waste ground at the RDC farm, with an application of compost. Results at 34 months suggest that Ficus semicordata was promising for farm use, and that F. auriculata, Morus alba, Premna integrifolia [P. serratifolia] and panchpate (Leycesteria formosa) were also good. The other species tested were Bauhinia purpurea, Artocarpus lakoocha, Litsea monopetala and ipil-ipil (Leucaena diversifolia). |
