Nepal Swiss Community Forestry Project (NSCFP) has extended its working district in Khotang. The project invites applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following positions for the period of 2 years (July 2009 - June 2011).
Position: District Project Officer
Qualifications: Masters degree in forestry or Masters degree in relevant disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience in community forestry.
Competencies And Experience:
- Experience of working with government and non-governmental institutions.
- Good knowledge and practical experiences of rural development, principle and practice of good governance, sustainable forest management, forest based enterprise, gender, equity, social inclusion, poverty, pro poor livelihoods, local state building and policy processes.
- Excellent in English and Nepali language
- Excellent facilitation and coordination skill
- Willing to work in remote areas with disadvantaged people
- Proven experience of a good team player
- Good computing and report writing skills.
Permanent government employees are required to submit a "No objection letter1" and will be required to resign after the completion of probation period if appointed in the post. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the project norms. Job contract is subject to approval of the Project addendum by SDC and Government of Nepal.
