Nepal Swiss Community Forestry Project (NSCFP) has extended its working district in Khotang. The project invites applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following positions for the period of 2 years (July 2009 - June 2011).
Position: Forest Development Officer (FDO)
For those candidates who have applied for FDO for NSCFP advertisement dated May 27 & 28, 2009 need not to apply again.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in forestry or Bachelor degree in relevant discipline with 3 years working experience in Community Forestry.
Competencies:
- Good knowledge of rural development, principle and practice of good governance, sustainable forest management, forest based enterprise, gender, equity, social inclusion, poverty, pro poor livelihoods, local state building and social processes.
- Good in English and Nepali language
- Good facilitation and presentation skill
- Ability to work in a multi disciplinary team.
- Willing to stay and work in remote area of the district.
- Good computing and report writing skills.
Permanent government employees are required to submit a "No objection letter" and will be required to resign after the completion of probation period if appointed in the post. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the project norms. Job contract is subject to approval of the Project addendum by SDC and Government of Nepal.
