The Government of Nepal (GoN) in collaboration with the Governments of Finland, Switzerland and the UK have established and are supporting implementation of the Multi Stakeholder Forestry Programme (MSFP). The MSFP aims to improve livelihoods and resilience of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal through sustainable and equitable management of forest resources.

MSFP is working closely with REDD Forestry and Climate Change Cell (REDD Cell) of the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation to implement Nepal’s REDD Readiness Preparation Proposal (R-PP). The REDD Cell is in need of updating the REDD+ manual; REDD related glossary, and extension materials in the changing global context as part of R-PP’s capacity building activities. In addition to MSFP, some other organisations namely World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Center for Forest and People (RECOFTC) are also supporting this initiative.

As part of MSFP commitment to REDD Cell, the MSFP Services Support Unit (SSU) invites proposal from experienced, and interested individual/organisations to ‘review and update the REDD+ training manual, and glossary and develop posters set for REDD+ awareness at local level’. Terms of Reference for this assignment can be collected from SSU office in Ekantakuna, Kathmandu – or downloaded from MSFP website www.msfp.org.np

The applicants shall submit both technical and financial proposals with the necessary organisational supporting documents and/or CVs latest by Monday, 28th January 2013 in a sealed envelope clearly marked as “application for REDD+ manual Review” with the name of the individual/bidder submitting the proposal to:

The selected consultant or firm will be notified by Friday, 1st February 2013 through an official letter from the SSU. Failure to submit in compliance with above specification will lead to automatic disqualification of the submission. MSFP reserves the right to cancel the bidding process without giving any reasons.
