Rupantaran is a NGO with broad aim to build the partnership with different institution in the NRM and Climate Change sector and contribute to the national development goals. It has demonstrated expertise and experience working at community, districts and National level on innovative community based solutions to the wider environmental and development issues. Rupantaran is developing and implementing different projects and programmes to contribute in development work such as addressing poverty and responding to climate change impacts.

Good governance and Livelihood (GOAL) Project is an Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)-Australia funded 5.5 years (Jan 2014-June 2019) project being managed by ADRA-Nepal in partnership with Rupantaran and RIMS-Nepal.

This project will be working with the vulnerable groups and communities of 12 VDCs (6 each) in Rolpa and Pyuthan districts, as well as 25 LeGGo II project VDCs in Dhading district . The project aims to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable groups and communities of these districts through strengthened local governance, environmental management strategies and income generation options, and therefore it has three major components:

1. Micro-enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development (OUTCOME 1 – Income generation opportunities)
2. Capacity Development of Civil Society Organizations (OUTCOME 2 – Good Governance)
3. Resiliency Enhancement through Environmental Planning and Management Systems (OUTCOME 3 – Climate Change and Disaster Mitigation)

Gender and development; environment and climate change, family planning, child protection etc are crosscutting themes of the project. The project aims to cover a total of 8914 primary and 37144 secondary beneficiaries inclusive of a good proportion of sex, age and disabilities.

Rupantaran as a primary NGO partner is responsible for technical expertise in designing of curricula, frameworks and guidelines for the preparation of CBAP, LAPA and CBDRR and capacity building of local partners and staffs. Further, it is responsible for implementation of proposed project activities in 2 remote districts (Rolpa and Pyuthan) in mid-western development region of Nepal. RUDAS Nepal and FIRDO are two local Partner NGOs for the field level coordination/social mobilization of project in Rolpa and Pyuthan district.

In order to effectively implement the project, Rupantaran hereby calls for application from qualified, competent and creative personnel for the position of Project Coordinator for Rolpa and Pyuthan district. The TOR and description of qualifications required is attached herewith.
