Threats to Biodiversity

• Low levels of public awareness and participation
• High population pressures and prevailing poverty
• Weak institutional, administrative, planning and management capabilities
• Lack of integrated land and water use planning
• Inadequate data and information management
• Inadequate policies and strategies for biodiversity conservation
